BRUSH TRUCK 118

Brush Truck 118 is a GMC one-ton with 180 gallons of water. This truck is used to fight brush fires and uses its four wheel drive to get off road. Some equipment carried on this apparatus includes rakes, axes, chain saw, leaf blower and other pieces of equipment needed for "Hot Shot" operations. Brush Truck 118 is maintained by section One of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company. Their motto is "Lead Follow or Get Out of the Way."

MULE UNIT 148

Mule Unit 148 is a 1998 Kawasaki mule. It's used as a brush unit and for special operations. Unit 148 is used at the Washington Town and Country Fair to provide easy access to the fairgrounds. Unit 148 has a 60-gallon water tank with a Briggs and Stratton pump. It carries a medical kit, 100 feet of forestry hose and 100 feet of garden hose along with a leaf blower, chain saw and other brush fire fighting equipment. In 1998 Unit 148 responded to multiple large brush fires across the state of Missouri. It is maintained by Section Four of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company. They are also known as "The Goosetown Gang"
